I’M A Celebrity’s Charlene White has confessed that she’ll break down in tears and her partner thinks that she won’t be able to cope.
The ITV News reader and Loose Women anchor, 42, is one of the 12 famous faces taking part in this year’s series.
I’m A Celebrity’s Charlene White has opened up about how she’ll cope in the jungle – and how well her partner thinks she will do
Charlene joined the Loose Women team last year
Love Islander Olivia Attwood, former Health Secretary Matt Hancock and Boy George are some of the other celebrities braving a stint in the Australian jungle.
Despite being surrounded by her camp mates, Charlene will struggle not being with her Alfie, five, and daughter Florence, three, who she shares with her partner Andy.
Speaking about her upcoming stint in the jungle, Charlene said: “I will definitely get teary. It’s a foregone conclusion.
“I am going to miss our daily routine with the kids, I am going to miss waking up with them and having quiet time before the school run and that’s what is going to get me tearing up. It will be weird.”
The TV star also shared that her partner Andy was gobsmacked when he found out the news that she was going to be part of the star-studded line-up this year.
“My partner is also mostly shocked I am doing this,” Charlene added.
“We made the decision together but he was like, ‘I have no idea how you are going to cope!’ I am not a ‘need to wear make-up, nails’ kind of girl but I am not very outdoorsy.
“In fact, I know the fact I am volunteering to choose to sleep outside will come as a massive shock to everyone at work, too!”
But luckily Charlene has thought up a secret signal to show her loved ones while she is on the telly.
Her Loose Women co-star revealed all in yesterday’s Loose Women.
Christine revealed: “So apparently this is to let us know, and her family know that everything is going OK.
“Apparently she’s going to be rubbing her ear whilst doing this so it looks like an L!”
It comes after Charlene revealed her biggest fear.
Speaking to The Celeb Report after her flight Charlene confessed to having some phobias that she’s almost definitely going to come across in the jungle.
She said: ” I don’t really like creepy crawlies and I’m not really outdoorsy.
“I don’t camp. I stopped going to Girl Guides because they kept making me camp.”
She also confessed who she is going to miss while she’s Down Under.
Charlene said: “I would miss my family, I would miss the kids, my other half, and of course my Loose Ladies.
“If I am not hanging out with them every week I am not quite sure what to do with my time to be honest.”
