On Thursday’s Lorraine, she teased her latest work project as well as gushing how she would “love” to be back on the Cobbles.

Host Lorraine Kelly, 63, opened up about Helen‘s social media work but bringing the chat back to acting, the mum of three said: “Yeah I do but I’ve got an audition after this as well, so keep your fingers crossed!”

Earlier in the chat the actress, who split with fiance Scott Sinclair last year, told how she had healed to a “nice stage in my life where I might find myself again.”

As such, she has her sights set on a Corrie comeback as feisty Rosie.

She continued: “I really do want to go back at some point.

“I really miss Sally [Sally Dynevor] I love Sally so much.”

Lorraine interjected: “She was like your second mum,” to which Helen agreed: “She still is.

“Yeah I really miss her and I would love Rosie though to come back as a mum.

“I think she’d just leave Sally [Sally Webster, played by Sally Dynevor] with the kids all the time.”

Helen last appeared on the cobbles in 2018.

She stepped back from telly roles in recent years to raise her three children – Matilda, seven, Delilah, four and Charlie, two.

In a recent interview with OK!, Helen confirmed she has been in contact with the soap chiefs and made no secret of her desire to reprise her role.

She said: “I’d like to see Rosie be a mum, I’d love to channel that. I’d love her to come back with a baby that she hadn’t told Sally about – Sally would be a good grandma.”

Helen last month made her TV comeback as part of the I’m A Celebrity South Africa cast, having initially starred in the 2012 series.
