BOY GEORGE has hit back at reports he snubbed the chance to greet Babatunde Aleshe following the comic’s exit from the I’m A Celeb jungle.
After being voted out of the camp last night Babatunde reunited with his loved ones and I’m A Celeb co-stars at the luxury Marriott hotel in Australia.
Babatunde Aleshe and Boy George teamed up for a sweet photo after starring in I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
George left the camp two days before Babatunde
Among those greeting the Gogglebox star were former campmates Charlene White, Scarlette Douglas, and Sue Cleaver and Matt Hancock’s girlfriend, Gina Coladangelo.
However, Boy George was notably absent, which lead to fans claiming he had snubbed his former campmate.
George, 61, took to Twitter today to shut down speculation of a feud.
He shared a photo with Babatunde, and the pop icon captioned it: “Snubbing @BabatundeComedy
in the hotel bar!”
A representative for the Culture Club singer also strongly denied he snubbed Babatunde by not attending the meet up, saying claims are ”absolutely untrue”.
George has been reading up on his jungle stint since he was voted out on Tuesday and has been hitting back at various reports on Twitter.
Earlier today he responded – but didn’t deny it – when Lorraine Kelly shared The Celeb Report’s exclusive story revealing George’s tantrum in the Australian jungle.
Lorraine had asked on her show: “Does he watch this show? You don’t get golf buggies George!”
Replying via Twitter the music superstar called her out sarcastically on her own routine at Television Centre where she films Lorraine.
He wrote: “Yes my darling Lorraine I bet you walk everywhere and do your own make-up? Lol!”
The Celeb Report had revealed that desperate producers convinced George not to quit after he was refused a ride back to camp in a buggy.
One insider said: “Sue was allowed to be driven in a golf buggy under special conditions, but the rest of the campmates had to walk back from the trial which involved a steep hill.
“He then stormed into one of the production crew tents and pinched an apple, before hiding behind trees so that he couldn’t be filmed by any of the show’s cameras.
“It was a proper temper tantrum, but George wasn’t backing down. He was threatening to walk out of the show, and in that moment he probably would have done.
“Luckily one of the producers was able to retrieve him, sit him down in a tent and convince him not to leave. It was a real storm in a teacup, and thankfully in the end he recognised that and agreed to go back to camp.”
