Indiana Jones film in crisis after Morocco bans flights to and from the UK

FILMING on the fifth Indiana Jones film hit a stumbling block after Morocco banned flights to and from the UK amid rising Covid cases.

More than 100 crew are in the country preparing for a rickshaw chase stunt in the city of Fes.

Filming has also been hit by storms, Covid, norovirus and injury to Ford

Cast members including Harrison Ford, 79, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, 36, were due to arrive there from shooting in Italy.

But film bosses were left wondering whether to fly the crew home before the ban came in or how to get them back after.

A source said: “The flight ban left everything totally up in the air.

“It’s not clear what will happen once the scene is completed, but they could be granted a special exemption to fly home.”

Filming — which has also taken place in London, Glasgow and Northumberland — was also hit by storms, Covid, norovirus and injury to Ford.
