Confirmation of Inquest

An inquest will be held into the death of TV doc Michael Mosley later this year, following the tragic discovery of his body four days after he went missing in June while on holiday with his wife on the Greek island of Symi.

Details of Discovery

His body was found in a rocky area, and Greek authorities later determined that the 67-year-old had passed away due to natural causes.

Coroner's Announcement

Buckinghamshire’s coroner has now scheduled his inquest for 2pm on November 14, confirming that Dr. Mosley died on June 5.

Widow's Confirmation

Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley, his widow and a GP and cookery book writer, confirmed on June 9 that her husband’s body was found near Agia Marina, Symi, after taking a wrong route and collapsing where he couldn’t be easily seen.

Legacy of Michael Mosley

Dr. Mosley, known for pushing his body in various TV programmes, will be featured in a documentary titled Michael Mosley: Wonders Of The Human Body, which explores how the human body changes with age.

Throughout his career, Mosley engaged in daring experiments, such as ingesting tapeworms for six weeks in a 2014 documentary and creating black puddings out of his own blood in a 2015 programme to showcase its nutritional value.

Impact on Health Habits

The BBC noted that Mosley's programmes have influenced the nation's health habits, from promoting intermittent fasting to highlighting the benefits of a cold shower. They paid tribute to him with a special program titled Michael Mosley: The Doctor Who Changed Britain, aired on BBC One in June.
