Love Island star Maxwell Samuda has given fans a glimpse into his everyday life, a year after leaving the villa. The 24-year-old appeared on the winter edition of the ITV2 show in January, where he coupled up with Olivia Hawkins. Despite their split shortly after the show, Maxwell has stayed true to his word of not chasing fame and has shared a video diary on Instagram, playfully poking fun at himself.
A Peek into Reality
In the vlog, which he captioned "A glimpse into the reality of my life," Maxwell humorously referred to his home as a 'mansion.' The London-native even jokingly called himself an 'international superstar' and 'global icon.' The video showed Maxwell getting ready in the morning, being 'swarmed by photographers,' taking the tube to work, recording himself at his desk, and hitting the gym. He finished his day by attending a film premiere, humorously claiming he was paid five million pounds to be there.
Staying True to Himself
Maxwell's fellow Islanders, including Shaq Muhammad, Billy Brown, and Montel McKenzie, found the post hilarious, leaving laughing emojis in the comments. Earlier this year, Maxwell hinted at sticking to his original career while speaking on Johnny Seifert's Secure The Insecure podcast. He expressed his desire to have a combination of his original career and the opportunities that come with the show and social media. Maxwell also mentioned accepting a graduate job offer before going on Love Island and plans to continue with it later in the year.
Maxwell and Shaq recently teamed up to launch an events company called The Shaq & Maxwell: Day Party. It seems that while Maxwell's life may not be a 'mansion' as he jokingly claims, he's enjoying his return to normalcy and pursuing his passions alongside his newfound fame.
