What happened to Tripp on Days?
On May 16, 2022, the Devil possessed Tripp’s ex-girlfriend, Allie Horton.
Allie’s demonic possession is all a part of the Devil’s plan to get close to Ciara Brady and Ben Weston’s baby so that the entity can possess their newborn.
When Tripp finds the Devil using Allie to perform a ritual, the entity threatens to kill her.
Tripp ends up saving Allie by letting the evil spirit take over his body instead of hers.
In an effort to put the spirit’s evil deeds to rest and not allow it to possess another Salem citizen, Tripp sacrifices himself.
In order to kill himself, he ends up flinging his body off of a tower.
The cliffhanger concludes at Tripp’s dad Steve finding his body and rushing him to the hospital, although fans fear he’s already dead.
In the wake of the Monday, May 16 episode, Days of Our Lives fans took to social media to express their conclusions.
On Twitter, one fan said: “I really enjoyed today’s show even though it was so hard watching Tripp sacrifice himself for Allie & go out the church window I’m also excited for tomorrow even though it will be heartbreaking.”
A second fan tweeted: “I thought the possession storyline was finally coming to an end, but the Devil jumped into Tripp, then Tripp jumped but that won’t stop a spirit. This has gone on too long and that’s what ruined it.”
“Today’s episode of #Days had me in a complete mess because of Tripp (@lucasbrentley) the fact that he wanted to protect Allie just shows the kind of amazing human he is,” tweeted another viewer.
While one more viewer chimed in: “IF Tripp finally got rid of the devil storyline he was FINALLY useful lol #days. #BetterLateThanNever.”
