Katie, 43, said she ended her romance with Carl, seen in Milton Keynes on Thursday, after a series of explosive bust-ups

Katie said she ended her romance with Carl Woods after a series of explosive bust-ups.

The celeb was overheard at the National Television Awards telling pals she was newly single. And guests alongside her at the ceremony told how the reality TV star, who had been on a self- imposed booze ban, was sinking wine after walking the red carpet.

Her incident-packed night saw her flirt with a string of men and get “touch-feely” with a businessman at an afterparty.

The star and son Harvey, 19, were invited to the bash at London’s O2 Arena on Thursday after their BBC documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me was nominated for an award.

‘I’m single, I’ve dumped him’

A guest revealed: “Katie has publicly claimed to be teetotal — but she already seemed quite drunk by the time she took her seat in the auditorium.

“She was knocking back the wine and asking for vodka. She was telling people, ‘I’m single, I’ve dumped him’ and was clearly focused on moving on. They had been constantly rowing, and she said she’d had enough.

“She said she was back living at her house in West Sussex even though it wasn’t fully done up yet. But she was adamant she wouldn’t go back to his place. As far as she’s concerned, it’s over.”

Mum-of-five Katie and car dealer Carl, 31, began a whirlwind romance in June 2020 after they were introduced by a mutual pal. They got engaged this April, with Katie describing her new love as “Prince Charming”.

But on Thursday night, Katie was heard telling guests that the pair’s holiday to St Lucia in the Caribbean had been “s**t” and that they argued all the time.

The source went on: “Katie said she couldn’t handle it any more and wanted out.” Katie, who wore an eye-catching long plait, was joined on the awards red carpet by her sister Sophie and Harvey.

The trio were seated in the VIP area at the front of the arena for the event hosted by Joel Dommett and aired live on ITV. Sources said security repeatedly told off Katie for standing up.

Guests are asked to remain seated between the advertisement breaks to allow filming to run smoothly.

But Katie ignored staff requests, and was often seen on her feet, cheering and making gestures towards the award presenters and winners on the main stage.

She was spotted on camera when the Documentary Award went to Kate Garraway for her film about hubby Derek Draper’s gruelling Covid battle.

Loose Women panellist Katie was seen making a heart gesture. She was also seen flirting with several men during the evening.

Model and actor Kiran Rai, 28, sat alongside her and shared a picture of them on social media.

‘They were very flirty’

He later claimed “drunken” Katie told him: “I love your eyes, what’s your Instagram.”

But Kiran said he had rejected her advances, telling her she was “too old”.

Sources also told how Katie was “touchy-feely” with a businessman at the show afterparty, where she carried on drinking after Harvey had been taken home.

A source said: “The pair of them were walking around the party together, and could have easily been mistaken for a couple. They were very flirty.

“She looked very tipsy and kept leaning in to him, almost as if to kiss him.

“By that point Katie had been drinking steadily for hours, but she wasn’t showing any signs of slowing down and was drinking prosecco. She was definitely on a mission.”

The awards marked Katie’s first public appearance since The Celeb Report revealed she had suffered an alleged attack at a home in Essex.

She said the incident had left her in shock and with a bruised face and suspected fractured jaw.

Police were called and a man in his 30s was arrested and was held in custody overnight.

Katie did not name her alleged attacker but on social media speculation swirled it was Carl. He took to Instagram to insist that he was not responsible, saying: “Anyone who thinks I hit Katie is completely delusional.”

He went on: “I have never, and never would do anything to hurt Katie. The truth will be told.”

When Katie met Carl he was credited with helping her through a difficult period in her life after she was treated for PTSD.

She had battled drug and alcohol abuse and spent time in a therapy clinic.

Carl said earlier this year: “Everyone tells me she’s changed since she’s been with me and that I’ve made her happy.”

A spokeswoman for Katie declined to comment last night.
