KATIE Price’s mum broke down in tears as she described the moment she was told about her daughter’s car crash.
The former glamour model, 43, rolled her BMW in drink-drive smash in September last year.
A segment during tonight’s episode of Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next touched upon what happened that morning.
Katie’s mum Amy relived the moment she found out the heartbreaking news.
The 70-year-old told her daughter: “For me to have a phone call and this is 6.30 in the morning, saying ‘I’ve just had a crash… I’m ever so sorry mum’…
“You know, it was unbelievable. We just couldn’t believe it.
“Then I was speaking to this guy who actually got you out of the car and he was saying to me ‘I don’t know how she survived this…
“When you say to me at the time ‘why am I still here?’
“It’s awful for a mother to hear that.”
Katie replied: “There is no one to blame for me getting in that car but myself, but that night I got in that car, if people saw me and knew what was going on in my head, I wasn’t telling myself at the time don’t get in the car, I was like no I just need to go.
“Yeah I’m lucky enough nothing happened. I’m lucky.
“There is now consequences I have to put up from that night now.”
Katie explained that she’s seeing a therapist once a week now and wants to learn how to cope so that she doesn’t feel like she’s going into “self destruct”.
As Amy went onto reflect what could have happened, her emotions got the better of her.
She added: “Because you have been so poorly I think everyone has had to step up to help you and protect you now. Imagine if anything had happened in that accident.
“How do you think Harvey would have coped?
“That’s why I know, that’s why I know for you to do what you did do, it must have been something dreadful.”
Katie overturned her BMW in Horsham, West Sussex, in September last year.
The star pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving at Crawley Magistrates’ Court.
The star also admitted one count of driving without insurance and one count of driving while disqualified at the hearing in September.
But she was instead handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for a year, 100 hours community service and ordered to attend 20 rehab sessions.
Her driving ban was also extended for two years and was told to pay £213 in costs on top of the £7,358 she already owed the court.
