David rose to fame in Doctor Who
David Tennant is taking on the role of Alexander Litvinenko.
The star is best known for being a Scottish actor who rose to fame when he played the role of the Doctor in Doctor Who.
He has also been in other popular shows such as playing DI Alec Hardy in the ITV crime drama series Broadchurch, Kilgrave in the Netflix superhero series Jessica Jones, and Crowley in the Amazon Prime fantasy series Good Omens.
Talking about David joining the all star cast of Litvinenko, ITV’s head of drama Polly Hill said: “After David’s incredible performance as Dennis Nilsen [in ITV’s 2020 true crime drama Des] I’m delighted he returns to ITV to play Alexander Litvinenko in the incredible story of his murder.”

Margarita will be playing Marina who is Litvinenko’s widow.
The actress’ television appearances include her series regular roles in ABC drama series Revenge and in HBO series The Deuce.
Most recently she starred in Netflix series In From the Cold.

The actor has an impressive list of previous acting credits.
He is known for his roles Guilt, Shetland, Casualty, Psychoville and Line of Duty.
Neil Maskell
Neil is playing Brent Hyatt
The role of Scotland Yard officer, Brent Hyatt is being played by Neil Maskell.
Neil is an English actor, writer and director who is known for his appearances in British crime and horror films such as The Football Factory and Kill List.
In 2019 Maskell played prime minister Winston Churchill in the series finale of Peaky Blinders.
When is Litvinenko on TV?
Litvinenko will be released on Thursday, 15 December 2022 on ITVX.
All episodes will be available to stream at launch.
The show will also air on ITV in 2023.
