One tweeted: “There seems to be a bad atmosphere on the panel today, give me a knife to cut it lol.”
Another wrote: “Something definitely happened backstage , you could cut the tension with a knife.”
They added, alongside a picture of two women not speaking to one another as they scrolled through their phones: “I bet it’s like this in the ad breaks.”
Today’s Loose Women panel featured Christine Lampard and Linda Robson, but many chose to focus on Coleen Nolan and Denise Welch.
A third wrote: “You can tell Coleen is very annoyed by Denise today.”

One fan insisted the pair didn’t get on after they traded barbs during a discussion.
Coleen told Denise she didn’t want to come on the Loose Women meet-up, while Linda said the former singer wasn’t even in their WhatsApp group.
Denise told her co-stars during a discussion about making an effort with friends: “I’m trying to do now what we actually talked about very recently which is trying to put a pencil in the diary.
“We’ve said we’re longing to get together to get together and talk about stuff we never talk about here.
“You put a pencil on it. You make more of an effort if you’ve got it in the diary somewhere as a little pencil.”
Coleen, 57, replied, looking away: “But then I’d forget the diary, so…”
Christine, 43, joked: “You’d forget the diary, forget the invite?” Coleen said back: “Yeah. I don’t want to sit and chat.”
Denise, 64, replied: “She’ll just get a rubber and rub it out.”
Coleen said: “I don’t want to chat to you, I chat to you here.”
Denise then told her: “Well you’re not even invited, so…”
Coleen said in reply: “I don’t want to come. I don’t want to come. I’m busy.”
Even Linda jumped in with a remark telling her: “You’re not on our group WhatsApp!”
There have long been rumours of fallouts behind the scenes on Loose Women – but they have been denied by the cast.
Denise said: “I have never once had an argument with any single girl off stage in that show in twenty years. Never once.
“Me and Carol McGiffin can go and it hammer and tongs.
“Me and Kaye Adams, every single time we say something, in the break we look at each other and go ‘oh that’ll be the headline. Fiery clash on Loose Women.’ All the time. In a way that’s part of the show.”
