Early Beginnings

Carol McGiffin, a beloved figure on Loose Women, has confessed to being a shoplifter for a staggering 10 years. In her column for Best magazine, she revealed that her habit started when she was just a toddler.

A Decade of Theft

The now 63-year-old McGiffin stole items from shops for a decade before finally getting caught while Christmas shopping. She recounted her childhood thefts, explaining, "When I was three, I used to pop along to Woolworths and steal mouth organs and stash them in the cupboard."

A Christmas Spree

At the age of 12, McGiffin and a group of friends embarked on a Christmas shoplifting spree at Woolworths. Unfortunately for her, she was apprehended with Sellotape and a pottery horse in her bag. The police were called and McGiffin was taken home, where she was frightened with warnings of a potential criminal record that could ruin her life. Needless to say, she never engaged in theft again.

Career Changes

McGiffin had previously revealed that she had taken a step back from her role on Loose Women due to contract disputes. She further criticized the show's producers after her departure, describing them as "woke." Her comments during a TNT Radio interview were reportedly central to her decision to quit, as they involved accusations of media organizations being influenced by the government. This prompted numerous calls to both the radio network and ITV, with some viewers demanding her termination.
