The presenter has been dealing with a chest infection and cough that hasn't shown signs of improvement, despite trying various remedies.
Homemade Remedies
Langsford shared a video of the homemade remedies she tried, which consisted of boiling turmeric, ginger, lemon, orange, whiskey, cinnamon, and cloves in her kitchen. She also warned her followers about the staining properties of turmeric.
Care Package and Support
Langsford received a care package of throat pastilles from a company and expressed her gratitude for the homemade remedies and support she received from fans.
Time Off Loose Women
The 63-year-old had to take time off from hosting Loose Women due to her illness. Her producers stood beside a cardboard cut-out of Langsford as a representation of her presence.
Bedridden with her Dog
Langsford has been bedridden but has been enjoying the company of her dog. She referred to her dog as her "sick bed companion."
Working with ITV
Langsford has been a regular on Loose Women since 1999. Apart from her work on ITV, she also presented How the Other Half Lives for Channel 5 alongside her husband Eamonn and had her own segment on QVC titled Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit. Additionally, she has hosted This Morning on Fridays with her husband.
Continued Efforts to Get Better
Despite her illness, Langsford remains optimistic and committed to getting better. She has been using a vaporizer and taking antibiotics to aid in her recovery.
