Love Island host Maya Jama sparks concern over ‘injury’ after fans spot unusual mark

LOVE Island host Maya Jama sparked concern amongst fans over an “injury”, after fans spotted an unusual mark on her shoulder.

It came after the presenter, 28, entered the Love Island villa for the brutal Casa Amor recoupling, which saw NINE Islanders dumped.

Turning up the glamour, Maya opted for a red silk dress with cut-out detailing that showed off her tone abs.

She also flashed her long legs with a slash to the thigh and completed the look with a pair of strappy heels.

But it wasn’t her dazzling look that got some fans talking.

Eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Maya had a sore looking red mark on her shoulder.

Taking to Twitter, one person asked: “@MayaJama , did you catch your shoulder with the hair straighteners!! #loveisland”.

Sharing the tweet, the Maya replied: “I was shoulder dancing in a sparkly dress and it scratched at the Brits xx”.

Meanwhile, yesterday Love Island fans praised host Maya for ramping up the drama during this year’s Casa Amor recoupling.

Viewers congratulated the presenter for making it “one of the best” post-Casa reunions yet.

Maya asked the guys one at a time whether they wanted to stick with their original girl or recouple with a Casa bombshell.

The OG girls then arrived back into the Love Island villa, either single or with a new man on their arm.

Fans were thrilled as Maya then – for the first time – grilled the Islanders about their Casa antics, before standing back and letting the drama kick off.

Only then, once sparks had flown, did she move onto the next couple.

Giving their thoughts on Reddit, one Love Island viewer wrote: “In my opinion (take it as you will), this has to be one of the best Casa recouplings we’ve seen in a while. I think we can owe this to Maya.

“Instead of the drama starting at the end of the recoupling, Maya drawing out each couple one by one was pure genius. This allowed for drama to be unfolded each couple at a time. This is exactly what the show has needed … for a while.”

Another added: “I really appreciated the incorporation of the casa girls throughout the recoupling instead of waiting until the end for a one-off comment. It was more dramatic and more respectful of the Casa islanders.”
