Behind-the-scenes drama
Chris Taylor has unveiled the true reason he won't be making a comeback in the next Barbie movie, following an awkward blunder during filming. The 33-year-old Love Island star had a fleeting appearance in the blockbuster, playing a version of Ken.
Struggles on set
In a conversation with his villa mate Toby Aromolaran on the Fancy a Chat? podcast, Chris confessed that the likelihood of him reprising his role is slim. He revealed the challenges he faced, taking five hours to deliver a single line and enduring 57 takes to get it right.
Unexpected casting
Chris shared the backstory on how he landed the role, crediting his encounter with producer and lead actress Margot Robbie at an afterparty. The Love Island alum initially thought the offer to audition for Barbie was a prank, only realizing it was real when he saw Ryan Gosling on set.
Margot's influence
Speculations suggest Margot Robbie played a role in Chris's casting, as she had shown interest in Love Island and struck up a friendship with him and his fellow islanders. Despite the short-lived experience, Chris remains grateful for the opportunity to be part of the billion-dollar Barbie franchise.
