George was booted out of Love Island and claimed him and Ekin-Su ‘crossed a line’ before retracting his comment

Ofcom said: “Love Island, 15 July, The majority of complaints related to footage of Ekin-Su and George during Casa Amor.”

The moment sparked another row between Ekin-Su and her partner Davide who called her “a liar” after she insisted that nothing intimate happened with the bombshell.

The pair made it up in last night’s episode, but viewers have hit out at producers.

One said: “Love Island deserves ALL the Ofcom complaints about this Ekin Su and George situation. Not only because she didn’t do anything but because these fools on Aftersun are adding more fuel to the fire to the misogynist hate Ekin Su train.”

Love Island shock as FOUR new bombshells enter the villa tonight

A second ranted: “OFCOM will be receiving a complaint from me if Ekin Su gets dragged by the entire villa for the george situation while nothing gets shown of David.”

And a third said: “if they show whatever happened with ekin and george then they better show either Davide and coco or the way he spoke about her behind her back, if she’s painted as the solo villain ofcom better be ready.”

Love Island was the subject of thousands of Ofcom complaints in the past week with 400 of those complaints over Laura Whitmore discussing Ekin-Su and George on spin-off Aftersun.

During the episode, Laura kicked off by saying: “Once again Ekin-Su swore that nothing happened with George and it seems Davide doesn’t believe her.”

As Laura burst into laughter, Tom Grennan exclaimed: “It deffo happened though didn’t it”

Darren Harriott continued: “She said her head never turned but I think her hand might have turned, and possibly wrist.”

Before that, Laura interviewed George on Aftersun and was slammed for saying Ekin-Su “had a little fiddle”.

George wasn’t happy with her comments, and reached out to Ekin-Su’s social media account handler to clear things up.

It is claimed he told them “nothing happened” between them, and it is all being “blown out of proportion”.

The comments also left Ekin-Su’s family and friends feeling very uncomfortable.

The person looking after her account tweeted: “The fact that the s*** shaming is being passed off as banter and good television is very concerning at this rate.”
