Love Island’s Danny Bibby says show is ‘edited to make you someone you’re not’ as he watches his episodes in bed

LOVE Island’s Danny Bibby has said the show is “edited to make you be someone you’re not”.

The star, who was booted off the Island after a vote, spoke out after spending Saturday watching his episodes from bed back in the UK.

Love Island’s Danny Bibby complained about the show from his bed

He posted a video of himself on Instagram saying: “I’ve just been watching the show, right. And listen guys just take it all with a pinch of salt.

“That’s all I’m saying because a lot of it is edited to make you be someone you’re not, all right?”

The 25-year-old Manchester plumber, who arrived as a bombshell but was despatched in short order, seemed particularly aggrieved by a scene with Lucinda Strafford.

He continued: “For instance, the part where I told Lucinda: ‘Why would I make you a coffee?’ That was in a little joke because I was making her a coffee.

“I said: ‘Why wouldn’t I because we’re mates?’ And the fact is I actually made the coffee for Lucinda and gave it to Aaron and said: ‘Here bro, here’s Lucinda’s coffee. Give her that, that’ll get you in her good books.'”

He added: “Honestly, enjoy the show – but remember it’s a show.”

A spokesperson for Love Island said: “The opinions they have and the relationships formed are completely within the control of the Islanders themselves.

“It is always our intention to produce a show that is a fair and accurate representation of life in the villa.”

Danny was discovered to have used the N-word in a social media post and apologised for it from the Love Island villa.

He repeated that after getting back to the UK, saying on Instagram: “Whilst I was made aware of this and issued an apology whilst in the villa, the matter has always been on the front of my mind during the days in there and I would like to now add to what was said.

“After seeing all the comments and reaction to the post, I understand more that the use of the word, even in the way it was written and intended, is deeply offensive to people and I am truly sorry for using that word.

“I was always aware that written in the other way was a vile term, and I would never use it. But I was unaware that the way I used it was not.”
