LOVE Island’s Jacques O’Neill has revealed his secret close relationship with Antigoni Buxton that wasn’t shown on screen.
The rugby player, 23, quit the show last week after struggling to cope, and left fans in tears with his emotional goodbye to partner Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne, 24 and his co-stars.

Their close bond was not aired on screen
Since his departure, Jacques has been hanging out with fellow Islander Antigoni and labelled her his “bestie”.
The ex-Islanders enjoyed a “family” lunch with Antigoni’s celebrity chef mum Tonia Buxton and Jacques’ mum Janet.
Singer Antigoni, 26, looked sensational in a blue crop top and matching leggings, while Jacques opted for a classic white t-shirt and a pair of shorts.
They enjoyed some alfresco dining at Bluebelles café in London, before posing for a snap together.
Jacques looked in good spirits as beamed alongside his co-star, while Antigoni flashed a big smile.
Although their friendship was not aired on screen, it’s clear the pair share a sweet bond.
It comes after Jacques told how he was left broken by the ITV show — but producers pressed him to carry on.
He quit the Majorca villa after a bust-up with love rival Adam Collard over partner Paige Thorne.
Jacques feared he would attack Adam, admitting: “I thought if I don’t get myself out things could go horribly wrong and I could get physical.”
He confessed he “couldn’t cope” in the TV villa, adding: “Doing Love Island was the worst decision of my life.”
Jacques said: “I was ready to break down.
“I was feeling so mentally drained, I just wanted to go home and get myself right.
“It broke me and I was already broken. I was crying my eyes out. I couldn’t cope.
“I was literally feeling awful. It was the worst I’d ever felt in my life.”
Jacques bravely talked of his mental health struggles with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
He admitted telling bosses he had ADHD before the series began.
Fearing he was about to attack Adam, Jacques said: “I thought if I don’t get myself out things could go horribly wrong and I could get physical.
“At home you can remove yourself from situations, but in there you had to deal with every situation, and in that moment I took my microphone off, and walked straight through the front doors because I just wanted to get out of that place.
“Producers tried coming to me, they were like, ‘Jacques, are you OK? I was saying, ‘I don’t want to speak to you or anyone. I want to be left to myself.’ It was too much.
“I was saying to them, ‘This is more than a TV show to me’, it was genuine feelings involved and my headspace wasn’t right to be in a TV show.
“I dealt with stuff in there that I’ve never dealt with in my life.”
