Love Island's Scott van-der-Sluis reveals why he pulled out of All Stars for secret dates with ex-Islander

Love Island star Scott van-der-Sluis, 24, shared the reason behind his decision to opt out of this year's All Stars edition after going on secret dates with a previous Islander. During an appearance on Lochan Nowacki's YouTube cooking show, Scott opened up about his choice and his close bond with fellow Islander Luca Bish.

Secret dates and difficult decisions

Scott revealed that he initially considered joining the All Stars but ultimately decided against it, mentioning, "I was in a moment where I was like, 'Right, yeah, I could do this, but if at any point I don't feel like it at all or something, I don't feel like it.'"

While he didn't disclose who he had been seeing, Scott confirmed that he had been on dates with a past Love Island contestant, sparking speculation among fans.

Close friendship and football projects

Scott discussed his close friendship with Luca Bish, explaining how they connected over a football project in the U.S. and how they had considered the All Stars opportunity together. Scott clarified that he had persuaded Luca to join while he himself had been hesitant about participating.

A change of heart and age concerns

Scott confirmed last month that he had withdrawn from the latest All Stars season just two days before it started. He cited not feeling like it was the right time to enter the Villa and mentioned concerns about the age gap between him and the other contestants, jokingly referring to it as "Love Island Old Stars."

Scott, who rose to fame on the tenth season of Love Island, had subsequent stints on other editions of the show and its spin-offs. Despite his popularity on the show, he has chosen to distance himself from the franchise in recent times.
