Matt Baker's Annual Fundraiser Axed

Matt Baker's beloved Rickshaw Challenge, which has been a highlight of the Children in Need show for the past 13 years, will not be returning for the 2023 fundraiser. The presenter took to Instagram to share the disappointing news with his fans.

Vernon Kay's Incredible Ultramarathon

Meanwhile, BBC Radio 2 star Vernon Kay completed a grueling ultramarathon from Leicester to his hometown of Bolton, covering a total of 116 miles over four days. His incredible challenge raised an impressive £4million for Children in Need.

A Bittersweet Moment for Vernon

Vernon, who crossed the finish line at Bolton Wanderers ground, described the ultramarathon as "one of the most painful and joyous experiences" he's ever had. His wife, Tess Daly, who is currently preparing for the Strictly showpiece in Blackpool, expressed her pride in a video call with Vernon.

Children in Need airs from 7pm on BBC One on Friday, November 17.
