Gethin Jones had an eventful return to the Morning Live set as an off-camera accident left him scrambling to get back on screen. Due to a cable mishap, his co-host Michelle Ackerley got stuck and Gethin had to save her from tripping, causing him to lag behind when the show started.
'My heart stopped'
Gethin had a heartstopping moment as Michelle got tangled in the camera cable and almost fell into the studio. He had to shout to producers that he was on his way as the cameras started rolling before he could make it on-screen. The pair laughed nervously at their close call before taking a deep breath and beginning their regular morning segment.
A near disaster averted
Just in the nick of time, Michelle managed to free herself from the cable and make it onto the set. Gethin recalled how he had to release her shoe from the wire, narrowly avoiding a potential disaster. They both took a moment to recover before presenting the show.
A return from celebrations
