While the exact reason for Olivia’s departure is unknown, TV presenter Vernon Kay has speculated that it could be down to food poisoning.
Vernon, 48, who appeared in the Wales I’m A Celeb back in 2020 took to social media and wrote: “Olivia Attwood has left I’m A Celeb hope all is ok!
“Them prawns sat in the sunlight all that time were never a good idea…”
Before heading into the jungle, Olivia was voted VIP by members of the public, which saw her choose radio DJ Chris Moyles to enjoy a lavish feast with her.
Still in their glam attire, the pair pulled up a seat and indulged in a tasty meal, which included prawns.
Fans were in agreement with Vernon’s theory, with one person writing: “That was the first thing I noticed I would not have eaten anything off that.”
Another said: “Omg I said that I was shouting don’t eat the prawns !!!!”
The medical team ruled it was “not safe” for Olivia to return to camp – but in a cryptic message her rep said: “You will hear the truth from her in due course.”
Writing on Olivia’s Instagram story, a “Team Liv” spokesman wrote: “To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement.
“She dreamed of doing I’m A Celebrity for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).
“However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short.
“Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has.
“You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year.
“Ps. Who’s going to roast Matt Hancock now??”
