PETE Davidson’s reason for deleting Instagram has been revealed just a short time after Kanye West boasted he “ran” the comic off social media.
The 44-year-old rapper claimed he forced Pete, 28, off of Instagram amid his relationship with Kim Kardashian.
Earlier this week, Kanye slammed Pete in a new Instagram diss.
The hitmaker claimed he had “ran Skete off the gram” when the comedian deleted his account.
Kanye shared a snapshot and posted an empty profile of the Saturday Night Live star’s Instagram, which was captioned: “No posts yet.”
He continued mocking him: “Tell your mother I changed your name for life.”
While Kanye took credit for Pete’s departure from the social media app, a source recently told Entertainment Tonight that the TV star deleted his account to show his support for Kim amid her ongoing divorce from Kanye.
The insider said: “Pete has been supportive of Kim and they are staying positive about their relationship and enjoying how things are going.
“Pete doesn’t want to be involved in the drama so he deleted his Instagram account.”
NOTHING TO DO WITH YE
Shortly after Pete deleted his account, another informant told Page Six that his absence from Instagram had nothing to do with Kim’s ex.
The source said: “Pete deleted his IG because immediately after his first post he started receiving a flood of messages, both positive and negative, reminding him why he didn’t want social media to begin with.
“[Pete] is in the middle of several big film projects and wants to continue to stay very focused on his work and the positive things happening in his life.
“Kanye didn’t drive Pete off social media.”
Kanye also previously called Pete a “d**khead,” accused him of “destroying” their family and threatened to “beat his a**.”
NOT TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY
The reason behind Pete’s departure from Instagram was revealed after Kanye claimed the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum can’t prove he penned his social media posts.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Kanye is trying to make his social media posts attacking Kim, Pete, and others inadmissible in next week’s hearing about the reality star’s request to restore her single status.
He argued that his ex can’t prove he wrote any of his social media posts, while his lawyer claimed the posts are “double hearsay.”
The attorney said: “Kim claims she read something online allegedly by Kanye and characterizes the posts in her declaration as misinformation … Kim needed to offer the social media posts into evidence, and show that the posts were written by Kanye.”
The legal documents never state that Kanye didn’t write the post, though argued Kim hasn’t done the work to prove he wrote them.
