The star added both a ‘crying with laughter’ and a facepalm emoji.
Phillip and his co-star Holly Willoughby have been absent from the This Morning all week due to their annual autumn holiday.
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary have been filling their shoes while they are off screen.
The pair’s break from the ITV1 daytime show came just days after they were booed while attending the National Television Awards 2022.
As the cast and crew of the show took to the stage to pick up their award for the best daytime TV show, the crowd began loudly jeering.
It comes after Phillip and Holly faced controversy after claims that they skipped the queue for the Queen’s lying in state.
A source in the audience said: “The boos in the room were very loud when Holly and Phil were announced as the winners.
“It was really embarrassing.
“Linda Robson from Loose Women didn’t clap either. It was all very awkward.”
Phillip was overcome with emotion when it was revealed This Morning had seen off competition from Loose Women, The Repair Shop and The Chase.
Collecting the award, the teary TV host said: “Don’t think we ever get complacent and please don’t think we ever take this for granted. This means so much to us every year, especially this year.
“We have the most amazing team. I have the best friend, we have the best boss.”
Holly added: “Thank you so much, this award means everything because it is voted by you, and I think This Morning has a very special relationship with you. You make our show for us, you really do.”
Phillip and Holly are due back on This Morning on Monday (October 24).
The dates for half-term vary across the UK, with schools in Wales starting late on Monday, October 31, 2022.
Some schools in England started their half term on Monday October 17, while others begin their break from this coming Monday October 24.
Public schools often get two weeks off for half term.
But some fans of This Morning weren’t expecting Phillip and Holly to have already taken their holiday.
