Thrown under the bus
Phillip Schofield has made headlines after expressing his feelings of being 'thrown under the bus' by former co-workers following his admission of an affair scandal.
Return to television
The TV star has made a comeback to television after 16 months off air, acknowledging an 'unwise but not illegal' affair with a young runner.
Misunderstood loyalty
During the airing of Cast Away on Channel 5, Schofield opened up about feeling betrayed by individuals he considered friends, stating, "People just went, who I thought were my friends and they just went and that’s like ‘what the hell’."
Threat of exposure
Hinting at potential revelations, he mentioned, "I have been chucked under a bus, and I could drive the same bus over so many people but I’m not that sort of person, I never have been."
Mixed feelings
Reflecting on his time away from the spotlight, Schofield shared, "I miss parts of being on TV, certainly. I miss most of it, if I’m honest, I miss most of it. But there are bits that I really, really, really don’t miss."
Blame game
Blaming his brother for his dismissal from This Morning and Dancing on Ice gigs, Schofield points to his brother's conviction for sexual offenses involving a child as the reason for his departure.
Denial from ITV
Contrary to Schofield's claims, ITV insiders have refuted his statements, labeling them as "simply untrue" and accusing him of lying once again.
