Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond’s husband Ladd suffers brutal injury after he’s ‘run over by a COW’

PIONEER Woman Ree Drummond’s husband Ladd has suffered a brutal injury after he was “run over by a cow”.

Ree posted a video of her husband’s injury on her Instagram account.

The video starts with the Food Network star asking her husband Ladd, “how was your day?”

The Bobby Fuller Four’s I Fought the Law plays along with the video as denim-clad cowboy Ladd pets the family dog.

He responds, “It was good”, as Ree circles around her currently canine enthralled husband to show the back of his shirt.

It’s dirtied and been torn open to reveal a large scratch cut into his skin.

Ree questions, “You sure about that?”, as she pulls open the hole in Ladd’s shirt to show her followers the full length of the gash.

The famous blogger continues: “What happened back here?”

Ladd gives a matter-of-fact response: “A cow ran over me. Knocked me down. I was like a turtle on my back out there.”

The Pioneer Woman asks, “Are you okay?”

Her husband replies with a cattleman’s frankness: “Yeah I’m alright.”

He then continues, giving way to his wife’s concern: “My back doesn’t hurt but she stepped on my leg [and] it hurts.”

Ree suggests applying “some Neosporin back here”.

To which her hardened cowboy husband responds “I don’t think so”.

Ree captioned the post: “Ladd gave the cow two choices: Turn around and join the other cows, or run him over. She chose the latter. (You should see his leg…) Moo!”

TRAMPLED WITH LOVE

Pioneer Woman fans voiced concern in the comments about Ree’s husband’s injury and about Ladd’s tough guy, grin and bear it, persona.

One fan wrote: “Gurrrrrl. This is me and my rancher husband. Nothing is ever a big deal and I’m like ‘WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO DIE!!!'”

Another fan and fellow blogger commented: “This cracks me up so much! I totally get this. My husband is not a cowboy…and does not say a word about any [injury] unless I ask what happened.”

A third person added, “and they wonder why we worry…#ranchlife #farmlife”

While a fourth follower joked: “If you look up the word “Ladd” in the dictionary, it says one bada** cowboy!”

PIONEERING A FORTUNE

Ree Drummond became a household name for her blog Pioneer Women, which documented her daily life as a ranch wife and mother.

Her blog was so successful that in 2011 Pioneer Woman became a television program on The Food Network.

The Food Network star has been so successful that she’s made appearances on Good Morning America, Today, The View, The Chew and The Bonnie Hunt Show.

She’s been featured in Ladies’ Home Journal, Woman’s Day, People, and Southern Living.

The 53-year-old has an estimated $50million net worth, per Celebrity Net Worth.

Drummond’s blog has been referenced in the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, and BusinessWeek.

WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY

In June of last year, the Pioneer Woman detailed how she lost 43lbs over the past several months.

The blog post came after Drummond revealed she dropped 38lbs in late May and claimed to have “a lot more energy.”

Ree described how she changed her diet, her exercise routine, and her mentality to help her lose 43 pounds.

The 52-year-old began by emphasizing that, while weight loss was part of her goal, it wasn’t the driving factor for her.

“What motivated me the most was just wanting to feel better and have more energy,” she said.

“In January, just before I bit the bullet and took the leap, I was tired, puffy, and desperate…and I knew I shouldn’t be feeling that way.”

She added that, while she doesn’t necessarily get offended if someone makes a comment about her weight, she “mostly just think[s] about how much better I feel every day and feel grateful that I’ve made it over the hump.”
