Real reason Davide dumped Love Island winner Ekin-su revealed

LOVE Island winner Davide Sanclimenti dumped Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu after feeling he was “in her shadow” and she only cared about them “as a money-making brand”, The Celeb Report can reveal.

The businessman, 27, announced the split on social media on Thursday before jetting off to Ibiza for a photoshoot.  

Actress and model Ekin-Su, 28, has stayed silent about the separation while filming in Turkey.

A source close to Italian Davide said: “He felt swamped in the relationship, like he had totally lost his identity. He felt he was in Ekin’s shadow, with no room to grow.

“And he felt she cared more about them as a money-making brand than as a love match.

“He had been wanting to end it for some time. Davide didn’t want to move in with her as he knew it would be harder to leave.”

Our source said the cracks began to show when Davide started partying with other women and putting himself in “vulnerable positions”.

The pair — who won Love Island in 2022 — were last seen together at the premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in London’s West End last week, alongside star Harrison Ford.

The split comes after The Celeb Report on Sunday revealed in April how Ekin-Su was fuming when she found messages and pictures on Davide’s phone from two Instagram beauties — suggesting a fling in his native Manchester after the trio had been clubbing.

Ekin-Su, who had returned from a work trip in Belfast, called love rival Harriet Wilson a “f***ing s**g” and accused her of “sleeping with my boyfriend”.

She also took aim at the second woman, Phoebe Wintle.

Davide and Ekin-Su tried to move on and patch things up with a make-or-break trip to Amsterdam.

But confirming their split on Instagram, Davide said: “Ekin-Su and I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best.

“I will continue to support Ekin in any way possible.”
