Madeley praises Garraway's unwavering devotion to Derek

Derek's battle with Covid
Derek Draper faced numerous health complications, including heart issues, after contracting Covid at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. He spent 13 months in the hospital, during which he was placed in an induced coma and put on a ventilator. Although he was discharged in 2021, he had to return to the hospital multiple times.
