IT has been a tense few weeks in the Rise and Fall tower but one ruler has finally come out on top on the Channel 4 reality series.
Hosted by Greg James, the show proved unmissable as the contestants were put through their paces each week in a series of gruelling and stomach-churning tasks.
Eddy Fulford has been crowned the winner of Rise and Fall
It came down to the final two
Eddy Fulford from Devon has now been crowned victorious after rising to the top on the programme.
The software manager had to battle against the four remaining contenders in the Red Room – Matt, Moses, Ramona and Sydney.
They each had to prove why they deserved to be the one to take home the epic final prize pot of £85,610.
Whittling it down to just the final two, Eddy proved the triumphant ruler over West Lothian based Sydney as Greg confirmed he would be taking home the hard-earned cash.
Watching on, the rest of the cast cheered as Eddy gave Sydney a hug.
He then ascended to the penthouse for the final time.
Speaking after he was declared the winner, Eddy said: “Thank you so much, I’m speechless at the moment…”
He then joked: “I think I need a pint of champagne…”
Chatting about what the win meant to him, Eddy added: “I look at this game as an analogy for life. It has shown me that slow and steady wins the race, you don’t always have to be dog eat dog in this world… I never did well at school, never been top of the class and this feels like I’m top of the class. Oh my God!”
This isn’t Eddy’s first foray into TV as his family have appeared on various television shows over the last 20 years including their own self-titled family reality TV series.
His family achieve notoriety in the Channel 4 series The F***ing Fulfords as well as appearing on BBC Three’s Life is Toff.
