Rochelle Humes, former member of girl group The Saturdays and presenter on This Morning, was overcome with emotion during an interview with a brave nine-year-old boy named Harry Mills. Harry, also known as Hazza, is currently fighting a rare bone cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. He is scheduled to have an operation to remove a tumor on his femur next week.
A Scary Journey
During the interview, Harry opened up about his experience, saying, "It was really scary. I didn't know what I was going through or what was going on. I just felt really nervous and scared every time I went into a room that wasn't a giant X-Ray."
A Touching Gesture
Harry's friends have shown incredible support by shaving their heads to raise money for the charity Young Lives vs Cancer. Harry's friend Samuel explained, "There's a lot of stuff Harry is going to go through and we wanted to be there for him so he'll never be alone."
Tears of Joy
Rochelle Humes was moved to tears by the display of friendship and support. She exclaimed, "Oh my goodness, you're giving me happy tears. Auntie Roche has got the tears coming." Despite her emotional state, Rochelle continued the interview with Harry, his friends, and his father, Andrew, on the This Morning sofa.
A Beautiful Story
Unable to contain her emotions, Rochelle acknowledged the beauty in Harry's story. She wiped away her tears and said, "It's just such a beautiful story of gorgeous friends and I think we could all learn something from that." Rochelle's co-host, Craig Doyle, handed her a tissue to help her through the interview.
Supporting the Cause
Harry's father, Andrew, launched a fundraising campaign on behalf of his son's friends. The initiative aims to support Young Lives vs Cancer, as hair loss is a common side effect of chemotherapy treatment and something Harry is concerned about. The friends have committed to shaving their heads as a mark of solidarity. The fundraiser has raised an impressive £31,455 so far, with This Morning pledging to add another £2,500 to the total.
Helping Young Lives vs Cancer
