Ross Kemp hints at EastEnders return but reveals there is one big condition

ROSS Kemp has hinted at a return to EastEnders – but he’s got one big condition.

The 57-year-old starred as iconic Grant Mitchell from 1990 to 1999 and had made a couple of brief appearances since.

Ross appeared on Monday’s episode of Loose Women

He confessed he could be tempted back to EastEnders – for a price

But actor turned documentary maker Ross has revealed he would never say never to another trip to Albert Square.

During an appearance on Loose Women, Carol McGiffin asked Ross if he missed acting.

He replied: “Is it missing me is the question. My age? Rule out nothing.”

Carol continued: “What about EastEnders? If they said to you tomorrow, ‘Please come back’, what would you say?”

Ross then revealed he’d do it if the price was right, saying: “How much? Rule out nothing. As long as it was enjoyable, I’d do it. And I did do it for 10 years.”

Grant was last seen in Walford in 2016 but it was recently confirmed that his sister Sam – played by Kim Medcalf – is making a comeback.

The announcement got many EastEnders fans excited by the possibility that Sam’s big brother Grant could be joining her.

“As Sam is coming back there’s a chance he could be. And no 1 will soon be empty,” wrote one person on a fan forum.

Another added: “I have a feeling Ross Kemp may be returning with Kim Medcalf.”

In December Ross admitted he could be temped back to EastEnders.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the 57-year-old revealed: “I miss acting sometimes. I miss the jokes and the camaraderie.

“You can never say you’ll never do something again, so it would be remiss of me to say I’d never go back to EastEnders.

“I’m not in a position where I can turn down work, whatever it may be. And variety is the spice of life, especially at my age.”

Grant fans were treated to a small cameo earlier this year when Ross’s voice played during a scene.

When his brother Phil was deciding whether to become a police informant or face life in jail, he was heard saying: “You should’ve come to me and I’d have kicked some sense into you and made you feel a bit better.”

Ross last appeared on the BBC1 soap in 2016
