Ruth Langsford breaks silence on Loose Women feud rumours as she admits there’s heated disagreements

RUTH Langsford has broken her silence on the Loose Women feud rumours, admitting there’s been some heated disagreements.

The presenter, 62, made the admission as she spoke to Lorraine Kelly on her Monday morning show.

Ruth Langsford spoke to Lorraine Kelly about ‘heated discussions’ on Loose Women

Ruth said: “We have some heated discussions, but we don’t fall out.

“Somehow people just love to pit women against women, don’t they.”

She went on: “We do disagree about things, but then five minutes later we laugh and talk about something else.

“We’re such a diverse group of women, different age groups, different views and different opinions on things.

“So many times I go on that show, I think one thing and by the end of the discussion I’ve changed my mind.’

Earlier this year, fellow Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan was forced to respond to a Mail on Sunday article alleging co-stars Nadia Sawalha and Stacey Solomon are refusing to appear alongside her on the panel after her former agent branded Nadia a “total witch” on social media.

A Twitter statement issued by Coleen read: “Nothing printed in The Mail article today is true & I am taking legal advice about the slurs on me personally. We’ll also be addressing it on @loosewomen. Thanks for your support. Love Coleen xx.”

Stacey also denied the claims, commenting underneath: “What Coleen said. I’m doing my absolute best not to highlight the article or mention the paper or say anything really that might get them the click bait reactions they are after.”

Coleen, 57, also insisted the most bitter arguments are the ones we see on screen and rows don’t rumble on backstage.

Coleen said: “You don’t always agree but you’ve always got each others’ back. It’s a sisterhood.

“It would be a very boring show if we all agreed on everything, that’s what I love about it.”

She added: “When it ends, it ends at the desk. It never carries on afterwards.”

Ruth herself has been embroiled in an ongoing feud with This Morning’s Phillip Schofield.

Three years ago Ruth, who is married to former This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes, made an official complaint about the star to TV bosses.

Ruth filed a complaint against Phillip following an on air incident in April 2019 which saw him interrupt her while she was presenting a preview of Loose Women during an episode of This Morning.

Amanda Holden praised Ruth for making a complaint against Phil at the time.
