Ruth Langsford caught ‘making face at Phillip Schofield’ live on This Morning

RUTH Langsford was caught “making a face” as Phillip Schofield was speaking on telly.

The presenter didn’t realise she was live on This Morning as she prepared to tell viewers what was coming up on Loose Women.

Phillip was handing over to Ruth as This Morning came to an end following an interview with I’m A Celeb’s Georgia Toffolo about I’m A Celeb.

He said: “Right, the Loose Women are next on ITV.

“It’s Ruth today.. what have you got coming up?”

Ruth grimaced before looking surprised when she realised she was on air.

Not reacting to the blunder, Ruth said: “We’ve got lots for you Phillip, thanks very much.”

'don't worry'

This Morning in chaos as studio fills with smoke

It’s unclear whether it was Phillip that Ruth pulled a face at – but their feud is well-known with viewers.

Ruth, 61, made an official complaint about him to TV bosses.

Ruth filed a complaint against Phillip and it followed an on air incident in April 2019 which saw him interrupt her while she was presenting a preview of Loose Women during an episode of This Morning.

Amanda Holden praised Ruth for making a complaint against Phil at the time.

Ruth’s husband Eamonn Holmes branded Phillip “passive aggressive” and slammed ITV for axing him and wife Ruth Langsford from the morning show.

Belfast-born Eamonn, 62, and his wife were replaced with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary after 14 years hosting This Morning on Fridays, and during the holidays, in a brutal diversity drive.

Speaking about their time on This Morning, Eamonn said: “Phillip is renowned for snubbing people.

“He’s very passive-aggressive. It’s up to Ruth to say how she felt, but I was feeling hurt for her. No one would have snubbed me like that.

“I have a good Belfast street fighter in me… I would be direct. I don’t go for presenters who think they have a special privilege or aura or influence.”
