Scotty T's Comeback in Jeopardy
Geordie Shore fans eagerly anticipating Scotty T's return to the show may have to wait as his big comeback is now in chaos. The reality star, whose real name is Scott Timlin, is facing an impending court appearance just days after jetting off to Thailand with his Geordie co-stars.
Charged in Alleged Instagram 'Scam'
Scotty T is one of seven celebrity influencers charged this week in connection to an alleged Instagram 'scam'. The group, which includes TOWIE stars Lauren Goodger and Yazmin Oukhellou, are set to appear in court next month for promoting alleged unauthorised investments.
Court Date Looming
Despite the looming court date, Scotty T seemed unfazed as he boarded a first-class flight to Thailand with his Geordie Shore pals, including Nathan Henry, Sophie Kasaei, and Chloe Ferry. The group is filming their return to the MTV series and is expected to be back just in time for the court hearing.
Charges and Potential Penalties
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has brought charges against Scotty T and others for issuing unauthorised financial promotions, an offence punishable by a fine and up to two years in jail. The case is scheduled to be heard at Westminster Magistrates Court on June 13.
Geordie Shore Comeback
Scotty T's return to Geordie Shore marks a significant comeback after being removed from the show in 2018 for drug-related reasons. He will rejoin the cast for the upcoming 'big holiday to Thailand' special alongside familiar faces like Chloe, Nathan, and Sophie.
