The judges deliberate who they want to put into the final next week

The eight instalment of the popular show will see judges pick who they want to send to the final.

While Amanda Holden, 51, David Walliams, 50, and Alesha Dixon, 43, were all in one room together, Simon, 62, had to take part virtually.

Back in January the TV mogul was rushed to hospital following a second terrifying e-bike smash outside his west London home.

In the upcoming episode Simon can be seen with a bright yellow cast on his arm while holding ‘yes’ or ‘no’ cards.

But David definitely took advantage of the entertainment boss not being physically in the same room as them.

As the TV star turned off the button he told him: “Simon, I hate to have to do this but I’m going to turn you off.

“We cannot discuss dinosaurs anymore.”

Back in February The Celeb Report revealed Simon’s second e-bike crash.

The telly legend was lucky to be alive after he was propelled over the handlebars and onto the road at 20mph — while not wearing a helmet.

The dad of one, who had previously broken his back after coming off his e-bike 18 months prior, was rushed to hospital with suspected concussion and a broken arm.

A source at the time said: “Simon is lucky to be alive.

“He was pedalling along, with his electric motor on, when the wheels suddenly went from under him after hitting a wet patch.

“He slipped and went flying over the handlebars into the middle of the road.

“Stupidly, Simon wasn’t wearing a helmet, and blood was pouring from his face — he looked like something from Phantom of the Opera.

“Three kindly passers-by jumped into action, and stopped the traffic so he wouldn’t be run over.

“After being ambulanced to hospital and given an X-ray, Simon was eventually released that evening — his arm in a yellow cast all the way up to the shoulder — and told to rest.

“Despite this being his second great escape, Simon insists he’s not ditching the bike — but he will start wearing a helmet.”
