Strictly Come Dancing champion Ellie Leach has been left heartbroken after accidentally breaking her Glitterball Trophy, just weeks after being crowned the winner of the hit BBC show.
Handy dad to the rescue
The 22-year-old former Coronation Street star was devastated when the delicate plastic writing on the replica trophy snapped off. However, Ellie's dad, Al, who is known for his handyman skills, may be able to fix it.
A life-changing experience
Ellie has credited Strictly Come Dancing with "changing her life" after her triumph last month with her Italian partner, Vito Coppola, 31. She took to Instagram to share a photo of herself holding the trophy and expressed her gratitude for the experience, stating that it taught her the importance of giving her best and not worrying about things beyond her control.
Prized possession
The Glitterball Trophy holds great sentimental value for Ellie, and she can't wait to display it in her home. Many of her friends are eager to see it, and she has entrusted her dad with the task of repairing it.
A close friend of Ellie's said, "Ellie was gutted that she hasn't been able to show off her trophy after so many of her friends are desperate to hold it. Luckily, Ellie's dad Al is good at fixing things, so she gave it to him to put back together."
