Tasha's Impressive Debut

Former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri made her debut on Strictly Come Dancing last week, dancing a cha cha to Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter alongside pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec. Despite impressing viewers and landing second on the leaderboard, some questioned her previous dance experience.

A Father's Response

Tasha's dad, Tarek, took to social media to defend his daughter, highlighting the challenges she faces as a deaf person learning to dance. He emphasized that Tasha's dance style is different from ballroom or Latin, and her training mainly involves lip-reading and a robotic voice due to her hearing loss.

Challenging the Critics

Tarek pointed out that other contestants, like Sarah Hadland and JB Gill, also have dance experience. He mentioned that Tasha learned commercial dance as a teen, which is distinct from ballroom. Tasha herself acknowledged the need to relearn and adapt to the new dance styles on the show.

Looking Ahead

This week, Tasha will be performing a Viennese Waltz to Misty Blue by Dorothy Moore on Strictly Come Dancing. Despite the accusations, Tasha continues to push forward and showcase her talent on the dance floor.
