STRICTLY star Zara McDermott’s boyfriend Sam Thompson is ‘massively dreading show’ and fears the ‘curse could strike again’.
The Love Island star, who took part in the ITV2 dating in 2018, is one of the famous faces taking part in this year’s series of the dance competition.

According to reports, Made In Chelsea star Sam is “insecure” about her upcoming time on the BBC show.
The couple, who started dating in 2019, hit a rough patch the following year when it was revealed that Zara had cheated on Sam with music boss Brahim Fouradi during her stint on X Factor Celebrity in 2019.
A source told OK! magazine: “They broke up because of it but have claimed to be super strong ever since.
“Sam is massively dreading history repeating itself and the Strictly curse is definitely playing on his mind.
“She is getting hotter by the minute and she’s likely to be a huge favourite!”
The Strictly “curse” is a phenomenon that hits celebrities and their dance partners during their time on Strictly Come Dancing.
The show became regarded as “cursed” after a series of very public break-ups from show participants.
The Celeb Report approached Zara and Sam’s reps for comment.
Zara’s Strictly professional partner has not been confirmed yet, but the likes of Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Johannes Radebe and Kai Widdrington could be her match.
Graziano Di Prima, Gorka Marquez, Carlos Gu, Vito Coppola or Giovanni Pernice could also potentially be coupled up with her.
Shortly after the news was confirmed, Sam took to Instagram to share his love and support.
Sam said: “Go on Goose! The news is out!
“So damn excited for this journey. I’ll be coming down [each week] with a placard.
“And I’m going to bring Pete. Pete, me, you, the whole squad. We’re so proud of you.”
In September 2020 The Celeb Report revealed that Zara cheated on Sam with Brahim.
Sam later ended their 16-month relationship after getting wind of what happened during her time on X Factor: Celebrity.
Their relationship drama played out on our screens after Zara admitted to cheating on her man on the E4 show.
The beauty then did everything she could to win him back.
Later that year they confirmed they were back on after she was spotted sneaking out of his house at 9am.
