Former Bake Off host Sue Perkins and Traitor’s star Anthony Mathurin are teaming up to present a new BBC show called Chess Masters. The pair will be joined by British-chess champion David Howell for this exciting new series on BBC2.

According to The Mirror, BBC bosses are aiming for Chess Masters to be as successful as the iconic show The Master Game, which aired from 1976 to 1983. Sue Perkins expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating, "I’m so excited to be hosting Chess Masters, where 12 talented amateurs from across Britain are pitted against one another in the world’s oldest game."
