THE Chase fans have been left outraged after the show was pulled from air this week in a major schedule shake-up.
The ITV quiz show airs weeknights at 5pm with Bradley Walsh at the helm.
However, on Friday, they were left gutted by the news that the latest series of episodes was coming to an end.
It means they will have to wait until the New Year for new episodes of The Chase to be broadcast, and they were not happy about it.
One wrote on Twitter: “Alright, that’s it, the last new #TheChase for the year. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and etc etc. Might see you round for the s***te celebrity specials.”
Another added: “R.I.P. to the last new team of 2021. Coffin #TheChase”.
Another mourned: “Last final #thechase of 2021.”
Meanwhile another wrote: ” All right, guys, this is it. Time for the last brand-new episode of #TheChase of 2021! Let’s give ’em hell!”
The episode saw a new team of four take on Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett.
However, they failed to get their hands on the cash after Mark caught them in the Final Chase.
Meanwhile, Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan hit back at viewers last week after watching a ‘torturous’ episode of herself.
The star told her 102.3k followers: “Yes, I do watch my shows back. No, I don’t remember the results. Yes, it is torturous.”
One fan replied: “MINUS £17000 JENNY!! For the love of all things cringe.”

Another chimed in: “Minus 17k who does that? Yeah we get the point about getting players back but deducting that much was just daylight robbery!”
But the professional quizzer jumped to the contestant’s defence.
Jenny said in a later post: “The “money” is basically a thought experiment – until the Chaser’s time runs out. Nobody’s “taking money” from anyone, whatever offer they choose. #TheChase.”
She added: “Cute that, after all these years, people still argue with me about how the game should be played.”
