The Chase’s Paul Sinha stuns Countdown viewers with new look on Channel 4 show

THE Chase star Paul Sinha has impressed quiz fans even more by wowing viewers in Countdown’s Dictionary Corner this week.

The Sinnerman, Paul, has asserted himself as one of the best quizzing minds in the UK, having held a seat on ITV‘s The Chase since 2011.

This week, Paul has sat in Dictionary Corner on Channel 4’s Countdown next to Susie Dent and brought his comedic style with him.

Fans of the show have loved the general knowledge superstar’s guest appearance, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts.

Showing off a different look on Tuesday’s episode (June 13), Paul’s curly hair confused one viewer’s mother.

The fan tweeted: “You’re [my] mum’s favourite chaser… yet she didn’t know [it was] you because of [your] glasses and curly hair. Then again she didn’t realise the Menace is Irish, and she’s born there.”

Another added: “Loving @paulsinha in Dictionary Corner this week.”

“Really enjoying @paulsinha on @C4Countdown,” another chimed in.

It wasn’t just Paul that received the praise, with one onlooker commenting: “@C4Countdown, the great @paulsinha AND @ColinMurray … pretty perfect combination really, isn’t it?”

When Colin shared the news on Paul’s guest stint, an eager viewer replied: “He is literally my dream Dictionary Corner guest. Saw him live at a show in Crawley a couple of years ago and was absolutely brilliant. I hope that he doesn’t have to chase down the letters and numbers though #Countdown.”

Another echoed this, adding: “Great guest in DC… This program just goes from strength to strength.”

Paul’s vast array of knowledge floored the show host and numbers specialist Rachel Riley earlier this week when he quickly answered a round of questions they designed for him.

The duo took it in turns to fire questions at Paul, questions that they thought he wouldn’t know the answer to, but he quickly shut them down as he knew what country had the most pyramids (not Egypt), the top-rated movie on IMDb and what Cher’s real name was.

Countdown airs weekdays from 2:10pm on Channel 4.
