THE Real’s Jeannie Mai Jenkins revealed the moment she told her husband Jeezy she was pregnant with their first child.
Jeannie shared the heartwarming moment on her Instagram and also revealed she got pregnant just one week after their wedding.
The Real co-host Jeannie Mai announced on September 20 that she and her husband Jeezy are expecting their first child together.
In a video montage, the TV star also revealed how she kept her pregnancy a secret for so long.
The sweet moment where she told her husband about the pregnancy happened when they were sitting together and Jeannie wore a silk Versace robe.
She snuggled into Jeezy and held up her phone screen to show and asked him to read from it out loud – and it turned out it was an email from her doctor.
He read: “Hi Jeannie, I think you’re still on your flight now, I missed you when I called.
“I have your results back in, you and Jay are….”
Jeezy stopped reading and looked at the phone in shock before turning to his wife.
He kept reading: “… are pregnant.”
Jeannie then emotionally held her hands over her mouth as Jeezy simply responded, “wow.”
The camera then cut back to Jeannie recording a video more recently and telling fans about her big reveal.
Wearing a fitted black sleeveless dress, Jeannie explained how supportive Jeezy has been during her pregnancy.
“He’s been the most amazing partner, he’s been to every single one of the baby’s appointments, he talks to the baby,” she said.
The video then cut to Jeezy filming their ultrasound and later rubbing her belly while talking to her baby bump.
Jeannie was also seen in the video in a frilly, white bodysuit as she showed fans she’s “barely fitting” into any of her clothes and she then spotted a tear in the seam of her outfit.
The TV host captioned the Instagram post: “What happened during our first five months of keeping Baby J a secret?”
“Finally sharing with Mai Fam today on @hellohunnayshow. Ugh don’t make me cry again…I’m emo mess over here.”
Jeannie last month revealed her pregnancy on The Real and said that she finally feels “safe” in her life.
The 42-year-old revealed the news where she proudly stood up to show the audience her pregnant belly.
“I can definitely say that our Real fam is growing, and it’s been really hard to keep all of these secrets for you guys because we’ve had so much to reveal here at the show, including the fact that I am pregnant!,” Jeannie shared as she sprang up from her seat caressing her baby bump.
The cast and audience cheered for joy for the star who wore a white belly band to support her growing belly.
Jeannie also talked about her husband in the clip, admitting through tears how her life has changed since connecting with the rapper.
“Jeezy made me realize that I never really felt safe in my life, ya know? I’ve never really truly felt safe.
“Falling in love with Jeezy, meeting someone who also didn’t really feel safe in their life, we began to create a place where our happiness spelled out what safe looked like around us,” she said.
