The Teacher viewers all have the same theory as Sheridan Smith’s Jenna pleads guilty to bedding a schoolboy

THE Teacher viewers all have the same theory after Sheridan Smith’s Jenna pleaded guilty to bedding a schoolboy.

The Channel 5 drama returned for it’s second installment last night and saw Jenna lose her job, as well as her friends, after being accused of sleeping with one of her 15-year-old pupils.

The Teacher viewers think Jenna (Sheridan Smith) has been set up

Many think Kelvin Fletcher’s character Jack, Jenna’s co-worker, is behind the set up

Jenna has no memory of the night in question, so assuming the worst, she pleads guilty and is charged with having sex with a minor.

However, many viewers think Jenna has been set up, and placed Kelvin Fletcher’s character firmly in the frame.

Kelvin plays Jack, a fellow teacher at Jenna’s school, and one fan theorised: “Ok I think it’s Kelvin Fletchers character because he wanted to be head of English #TheTeacher”.

Another added: “#TheTeacher anyone else think she didn’t sleep with Kyle and…. it’s that other jealous teacher behind it all?!”

A third tweeted: “She is being set up. And, no, not by the jealous woman teacher. Too ovbs. My money is on the Emmerdale bloke. #TheTeacher”.

A fourth agreed, writing: “Hmm I’m thinking the head or the male teacher set her up #TheTeacher”.

However some fans were previously convinced Jenna was guilty, following her flirty behaviour with 15-year-old Kyle.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “#theteacher on second thoughts… it looks like she’s guilty”.

Another added: “Anybody watching #TheTeacher on Channel 5 and can feel their skin crawling? Horrid.”

A third tweeted: “What ever happens to her from now is her mess, cause why is she flirting with a child. If I’m in a club and a 15-year-old comes there, I’m out #TheTeacher”.

The Teacher continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
