Former Towie star details her health struggles on social media
Clelia Theodorou, known for her appearance on reality TV show Towie, has been keeping her fans updated on her recovery journey following a devastating accident that took the life of her mother. The star, who was pregnant at the time, suffered "terrible injuries" in the May crash. She has since undergone three surgeries and a long recovery process.
Major milestone in Clelia's recovery
Clelia recently took to social media to share a significant milestone in her recovery. Alongside a photo of herself using a zimmer frame, she wrote, "Milestone moment. Finally able to stand up and take a few steps at home... it's very hard, it's so painful but I have to push through it and it's a big step (literally) forward. I'm still waiting for my next operation to have the metal work in my feet removed, when that is done I'll be able to start physio & learn to walk properly again. As difficult as it all is, I'm so pleased I'm able to do just a little bit more for Cici and at home."
Reality of Clelia's injuries
Theodorou previously shared the extent of her injuries with her followers. She wrote, "My reality - 35 weeks pregnant, two broken legs and two broken feet. Broke more bones than I even knew you had in your feet and I'll forever be setting off metal detectors at airports."
Tragic loss of Clelia's mother
In the same post, Clelia announced the tragic loss of her mother. She expressed her deep sadness, saying, "At the end of May myself and my mum were unfortunately involved in an accident, we both suffered terrible injuries. I am continuing to heal from mine after weeks in hospital but it's with the biggest regret to say that my beautiful Mum couldn't heal from hers. The person I never, ever wanted to say goodbye to. Who loved me unconditionally, the pure definition of a mother's love."
New addition to Clelia's family
Despite the tragedy, Clelia found solace in the birth of her first child. In September, she welcomed a daughter named Cielo Elizabeth Cole with her partner Tommy.
