Trigger Point viewers all have the same complaint about Vicky McClure’s character in ITV drama

TRIGGER Point viewers all had the same complaint about Vicky McClure’s character Lana Washington after Sunday night’s episode.

The first episode of the ITV drama aired last week, and Lana‘s bomb disposal colleague Joel Nutkins, played by Adrian Lester, was blown up by a van rigged with explosives.

Trigger Point viewers were left confused during Sunday night’s episode

During the episode it became clear very early on that Lana and Joel were close friends – which is why the latest installment of the six-part drama left some viewers slightly confused.

One fan tweeted: “How long after last week’s episode is this taking place because I’m pretty sure if you’ve just seen your partner blown into tiny pieces you wouldn’t be back on the job the next day… #TriggerPoint.”

Another said: “Imagine being @Vicky_McClure character in #TriggerPoint seeing your workmate get blown up then going back to work the next day.”

Someone else wrote: “Straight back on the job? No counselling? #TriggerPoint.”

And a fourth added: “So her oppo got blown up and she’s back on the job the next day? I suspect not lol! #TriggerPoint.”

Adrian, 53, recently confirmed his character in the drama is definitely dead and he won’t be making a surprise return.

He told GQ Magazine: “I mean, there might be flashbacks to what we’ve already shot, but there won’t be any newly created ones.

“Before I read the script – when it came through as an offer – my agent just said ‘It’s a character that’s only in the first episode’.

“And at that time, I was juggling something else, and I thought, actually, that might work. I get to work with Jed [Mercurio], finally. And I get to do an episode.”
