Kenny’s cryptic social media post has left fans worried
The 12th season of the popular ITV drama ended last month, with Brenda Blethyn’s character DCI Vera Stanhope and Kenny Doughty’s character Aiden Healy returning.
Although the drama’s producers have not announced its return for series 13, its star actor Kenny’s cryptic social media statement has alarmed viewers.
On Instagram, the actor posted a number of behind-the-scenes images from the Vera set.
The first picture shows Kenny grinning as he stands next to Brenda and Kenny Lockhart actor Jon Morrison.
After that is some snaps of the lead actress Brenda along with a few solo shots of Kenny. But it was the caption that began to worry fans.
In the caption, Kenny penny: “Thank you for the memories,” however, began to worry fans.
Several others thought the actor’s cryptic post might be a sign that the show is ending.
Some, meanwhile, believe that Kenny might be quitting the programme after nine seasons.
One fan wrote: “Please don’t say this is the end! I would be heartbroken.”
A second added: “I can’t believe this is the end! Can someone confirm this please.”
Another worried fan wrote: “Does anyone know what this means? Please don’t say the show is ending.”
A fourth echoed: Please ! No! This can’t be it. I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself if it ends.”
