Where can I watch Outlander and when does season 6 premiere?

FANS of the Starz series, Outlander, finally have something to be excited about.

After a two-year delay, the show is set to premiere on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Outlander is only available to watch on Amazon Prime

When is the release date for Outlander season 6?

As a result of the pandemic, Outlander fans had to wait a longer-than-anticipated amount of time for the season six premiere.

Due to the show’s steamy sex scenes the cast and crew had to find safe ways to film.

Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie, revealed on Live With Kelly and Ryan in 2020 that the team had to “adapt” and were “getting there.”

He said: “Obviously with Covid things have been delayed but we are definitely gearing up.”

“I’ve now got to stay 2m away from my co-stars so that could provide some really interesting love scenes,” he continued.

Nevertheless, after a two-year delay, fans can finally stream the Starz show on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 9pm ET time.

Where can I watch Outlander season 6?

Outlander can be watched on the Starz cable channel and/or streamed on Starz.com or the Starz app, with a special limited-time deal.

The streaming platform is currently promoting subscriptions starting at just $5 for three months – meaning you can stream movies for less than $2 per month.

Outlander seasons one through four are available to stream via Netflix.

However, if you would like to watch the show on Amazon Prime or Hulu, you will have to add Starz to your subscription for $8.99 a month.

Claire Randall is a nurse in 1954 who gets mysteriously whisked away to 1743 Scotland

What is the Outlander series about?

Outlander is based on a series of books by Diana Gabaldon.

It follows a married, former Second World War nurse, named Claire Randall, who gets transported back in time to Scotland in 1743.

She meets and is forced to marry a Highland warrior called, Jamie.

They begin a passionate affair, even though Claire is married in her real life in 1945.

Along with all of that, she becomes involved in the Jacobite risings.

According to Entertainment Weekly, season 6 of the series will pick “up not long after the events of the brutal season 5 finale, which saw Claire kidnapped, gang-raped, and rescued by Jamie and his men…

“There’s no rest for the weary on Fraser’s Ridge as season 6 sees the introduction of a host of new settlers, including the brooding Christie family whose patriarch, Tom, has a thorny connection to Jamie and his days in Ardsmuir Prison.”
