Who is Daisy Midgeley in Coronation Street?
Daisy is the step-daughter of Jenny Connor and half-sister of Jenny’s late son Tom.
In 2020, Daisy was estranged from both her parents and came to stay at the Rovers Return.
She was reunited with Jenny after years apart.
She ruffled feathers when she encouraged Jenny’s separation from her partner Johnny Connor.
She also brought about the split between Ryan Connor and Alya Nazir.
She later set her heart on Daniel Osbourne and won him over, getting engaged to him in 2022.
Daisy worked as a social media influencer and was stalked by Justin Rutherford.
He targeted her in an acid attack which ended up striking Ryan instead.
As of 2023, Daisy worked in the pub and lived at 1 Coronation Street with Daniel and the Barlows.
She’s portrayed by Charlotte Jordan.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Charlotte stated that the reaction of viewers to her character was positive on Instagram.
She felt that the viewers enjoyed a character who is a troublemaker and causes conflict.
For the stalking storyline, Charlotte won the Best Dramatic Performance at the 2023 British Soap Awards.
The acid attack scene also won the Best Single Episode and Scene of the Year categories.
Who is Daisy Midgeley’s mum in Coronation Street?
Daisy’s mother was Christina Boyd.
After her divorce from Daisy’s father, she blamed Jenny Connor and only communicated with Daisy through texts.
In January 2023, she was told Daisy was engaged by one of the mother’s of Daisy’s school friend.
Who plays Daisy Midgeley’s mum in Coronation Street?
Christina is played by Amy Robbins.
She made her first appearance on the show on January 23rd 2023.
Her casting was announced December 2nd 2022.
Initially, her storyline was kept a secret but it was later confirmed the character would “shake things up on the cobbles” and leave a “potential for more appearances down the line”.
The character also aimed to explain more aspects of Daisy’s personality and also up-end her life.
