When did Charlie marry Ed Gamble?

Ed proposed to Charlie while on holiday in Japan in October 2018, having decided he was going to propose in January.

The comic commissioned a bespoke ring design from one of Charlie’s friends, who is a jeweller.

However, he originally didn’t want to get married, as he explained on the podcast You’ll Do: “I always talked about not wanting to get married, but I talked about not being for the institution of marriage.

“I am still not for the institution of marriage, I am for my marriage and my marriage alone.”

But he put his cold feet behind him, to pop the question.

Unfortunately, after planning to get married in 2020, their wedding was postponed on three times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The couple eventually tied the knot September 2021 in a stunning ceremony held in the grounds of lavish estate Hedsor House and Park.

Located on the Buckinghamshire/Berkshire border, they were surrounded by the pair’s celebrity friends including Joel Dommett and his wife Hannah.
