However, fast forward two years and he is no longer part of the show’s pro line-up.

Who is Cameron Lombard?
Cameron Lombard is known for being the South African Latin Champion.
He has won an impressive 18 national titles across Ballroom and Latin during his career.
Cameron started dancing when he was just six-years-old and within a year was already winning local and regional competitions.
He was a finalist on South Africa’s Got Talent in 2012, and he represented his country at the World Championships in 2019.
When did Cameron Lombard join Strictly Come Dancing?
Cameron joined Strictly in 2021, before getting a partner in 2022.
A show source told us at the time: “Cameron is a big character, as well as a hugely talented dancer.
“He was disappointed not to get a partner for the last series but 2022 is set to be his year.
“He’s already a favourite with hardcore Strictly fans who have seen him on tour, and bosses are confident mainstream audiences will follow suit.”
Speaking about joining the Strictly line-up, Cameron told the BBC back in 2021: “Thank you Strictly Come Dancing for this life-changing opportunity.
“Not only is this a dream come true but a challenge I am accepting with both hands.
“I am excited beyond imagination and looking forward to leaving my mark on the dance floor!”
Why has Cameron Lombard left Strictly Come Dancing?
In April 2023 it was revealed that Cameron wasn’t part of the Strictly professionals 2023 line-up.
He has left the show to “peruse other opportunities”.
A spokesman for Strictly: “Cameron is a fantastic performer and we have loved working with him for the past two years on Strictly.
“He is currently pursuing other opportunities but will always be part of the family and our door will always be open to him in the future.”
